Top 10 Destinations To Add To Your Bucket List

Since we're still in quarantine mode, like myself you may be feeling disheartened about the rest of the year as everything seems to be unpredictable at the moment. It doesn't seem real to be honest, but if society got through a pandemic before then I'm sure we can all get through this.

While we can't go on holiday right now, there's no harm in creating a bucket list for your future travels. Whether you're planning a girls trip, travelling with your partner or going on a family vacation here are a few ideas for you.

New York

Spend a few days in the city that never sleeps. After a week in New York I just fell in love and I can't wait to go back! It reminded me of London but even better, the people were so lovely and the streets are full of so much life. If you love shopping then this is the place to go! Also, make sure you try Joe's Pizza its great spot to go to after a busy day of sightseeing.

Santorini

Retreat to this dreamy Greek island and switch off from the world. You will be stunned by the gorgeous views. I don't know why but I find its chic white architecture so aesthetically pleasing. This is the ultimate destination for a romantic getaway or for time by yourself to just chill out. This is definitely on my bucket list.

Mauritius

If you love the beach then you need to go to the beautiful island of Mauritius and I am lucky to have been there twice already as the other half of my family are born and raised there. Experience the catamaran cruise to Ile aux Cerf a small island off the east coast of Mauritius. Try the delicious delicacies such as 'gato pima' which is a spicy savoury snack or dhal puri, a Mauritian flatbread with rougaille, a tasty tomato based sauce. The best time to go to Mauritius is December if you can bear the humidity but if you fancy going when its cooler, book your flight for August.

Havana, Cuba

Visit the Cuban city Havana for its charming views of colourful architecture and vintage cars. This city is full of art and history but you should definitely trip to Habana Vieja also known as Old Havana to view the magnificent palaces. Havana is the ideal trip for a group of friends to enjoy cocktails at their lively rooftop bars or hang out at a 1950s style cabaret.

Los Angeles

Discover the sunny Los Angeles with its amazing city landscapes and impressive restaurants. I never thought I would like sushi but Midori Sushi in Encino won me over. If you're interested in the nightlife I would recommend going to West Hollywood for its trendy bars and nightclubs. Definitely try the Hollywood Club Crawl which is only $25 for access to four clubs in one night, hopefully you won't regret it the morning after...

Iceland

I have always wanted to see the Northern lights in Iceland and what a better way to spend some time with your partner or the family. If nature is your calling then this is the place for you. After your adventure you can chill out at the popular Blue Lagoon- a geothermal pool in Reykjanes Peninsula. Soak in the algae, mineral salts and silica mud that will nourish your skin and make you feel like a new person. You have to spend at least 2 nights in The Retreat Hotel where you can take advantage of the spa and beauty treatments as well as access to the Blue Lagoon.

Bali

Embark on a spiritual journey to Bali the island of Gods and discover their rich culture. Once you arrive you'll feel welcomed by the friendly Balinese people who will be happy show you around the island. Take a tour to the 10th century, Prambanan Hindu temple which is Indonesia's largest Hindu site made up of 244 temples. Be sure to snap some Insta pics by the stunning Banyu Wana Amertha Waterfalls as well.

Panama

Famous for its 48-mile canal which connects the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic ocean and is important as it led to the evolution of biodiversity which means animals could travel from north to south of America. Panama is full of natural beauty and is the ideal destination for rainforest escapes, snorkelling, water rafting and more. What makes it more diverse is its cosmopolitan capital Panama City - home to their yearly carnival known as

'Tradition Carnavalera' which lasts over 4 days between February and March.

Seychelles

Seychelles is made up of 115 tropical islands and situated in the Indian Ocean not far off from Mauritius. Take in the breathtaking views of crystal-clear waters and the vibrant biodiversity. The largest of the islands is Mahe where you can swim in the Beau Vallon beach or visit the Takamaka Rum Distillery. Trust me you won't want to come back.

Miami

Last but not least Miami which is definitely going to be my next holiday in the US. Miami is known for its world-class nightlife and you'll hear a lot of Latin music from their upbeat bars and clubs. Every Saturday Delano South Beach, Hyde Beach and Nikki Beach host unforgettable pool parties - you'll be up from day to night. Cuba is quite close to Miami so it is infused with Cuban culture with many Cuban restaurants and cafes. You can travel to Miami anytime as the weather is nice all year round.
